SOLUTION TO PIRATES AND DIAMONDS PUZZLE:

lets go in reverse:
Let only pirate 4 and pirate 5 are remaining.so pirate 4 will propose 100:0 and he will vote for it(50%) so he will get 100 diamonds.

Now let pirate 3 is there.He proposes 99:0:1.pirate 3 and 5 will vote for it(>50%).pirate 5 will vote because he will get nothing if pirate 3 is killed.

Now let pirate 2 is there.he proposes 99:0:1:0.now pirate 2 and 4 will vote for it.pirate 4 will vote because if pirate 2 is killed he will get nothing.

Now let see pirate 1.his proposal will be 98:0:1:0:1pirate1,3 and 5 will vote for this idea.otherwise they won't get any diamond with pirate 4.

so now answer is 98:0:1:0:1
